PSYCHIATRY OF THE XXI CENTURY: GLOBAL INFLUENCE ON MODERN SOCIETY AND NEW LOCAL PRACTICES

On the 25th-27th of November 2020 the VIII annual international applied science conference "PSYCHIATRY OF THE XXI CENTURY: GLOBAL INFLUENCE ON MODERN SOCIETY AND NEW LOCAL PRACTICES" took place. The conference, organized by the Ukrainian Psychiatric Association and the World Psychiatric Association with the support of the WHO in Ukraine, is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in mental health issues. The section "Integrated Management of Patients with Eating Disorders" included reports by specialists of the Association of physicians and psychologists "ED: therapy and prevention" (Ukraine). The co-founder of the Association, clinical psychologist Olga Sushko presented a Family Based Treatment approach (FBT) in dealing with ED: "Family based therapy for anorexia nervosa in adolescents: when the family heals." Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Association, PhD Yulia Yashchishina presented an overview of psychodiagnostic techniques within the entire ED continuum, "Methods of psychodiagnostics of preclinical and severe clinical eating disorders".
